Yes. PMI's PMP requirements are the same wherever you live, and your training can come from a provider in another country. What matters from 1 December 2026 is who delivers a live course, not where they are based.
What PMI requires
To apply for the PMP you need qualifying education and project experience plus 35 hours of project management training. PMI accepts that training as a self-paced course from any organization, a live instructor-led class, or an active CAPM certification.
Why the provider's country does not matter
PMI describes the PMP as a certification not tied to any specific methodology, industry or geography. You apply to PMI, you take PMI's exam at a Pearson VUE test center or online, and PMI decides whether your application meets its requirements. A provider's location does not change any of that.
What changes on 1 December 2026
From 1 December 2026, live classes, in person or online, are eligible only if delivered by a PMI Authorized Training Partner, a China Registered Education Provider, or an eligible accredited higher-education program. Self-paced courses from any organization remain eligible. PMI advises searching its directory to confirm a provider qualifies before you enroll. Education Edge identifies itself as PMI Authorized Training Partner #4456; our article on the 1 December change explains how to check any provider's status.

Questions to ask any provider
Which time zone are the live sessions scheduled in? What happens if you miss one? What completion record will you receive for your PMP application, and does it show the hours? Does the price include the exam fee? PMI sets and collects the exam fee itself, so confirm what a course price covers.
